FAQ : Pricing on some US-based websites

Is it advisable to purchase similar products on US-Based websites for less ?

Some of our popular brands are also offered by websites based in the US against somewhat lower prices: We are fully aware of that.

When considering buying these products from such websites please consider the following:

  • Our parent-company DutchKid is the only OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR for the Middle East for all brands sold in JustKidding.
  • DutchKid / JustKidding is responsible for the regional service and warranty on these products.
  • There’s NO WARRANTY for products purchased from websites based outside the Middle East. We can easily identify such products.
  • There’s NO SERVICE and NO SPAREPARTS for products purchased from websites outside the Middle East
  • When importing products yourself please note that, next to the hassle and long transittime, you will also face SUBSTANTIAL COSTS for freighthandling, shipping, local handling and transport, insurance and custom duties. In addition you will have to assemble the product yourself and have to go back to the US based supplier if somethings wrong, damaged or missing.
  • Reliable and approved retailers in the US have, by contract, agreed NOT TO SHIP goods to the Middle East: So even if you find a lower price online, the website in question is very unlikely to send the goods to you. You should have serious doubts about the reliability of webshops that do agree to ship, if you even find one.
  • You will become legal owner of the goods after purchase. This means that you are responsible for the products during shipment from the US to Dubai. Note that these shipments are, by default, NOT INSURED and that damage or even loss is your risk.
  • The prices in the Middle East are set by the manufacturers and not by DutchKid/Justkidding and are (almost) equal to the European prices.
  • JustKidding-me.com and the JustKidding store in Dubai offer excellent service and demonstration of the products and have regular offers on all products.
